Biography 

Karin Corbett is a business attorney and litigator who effectively prevents, resolves, and litigates legal disputes for businesses and individuals alike in a variety of industries.  Her primary focus is in both construction and real estate and in the equine industry.

As a construction and real estate attorney, Ms. Corbett negotiates contracts, handles disputes, and advises clients on all types of business matters.  She commonly litigates construction and real estate claims that include:

  • mechanic’s lien claims;

  • claims arising from construction related statutes;

  • insurance and bad faith claims;

  • title disputes;

  • surety bonds;

  • construction site accidents;

  • foreclosure;

  • land use matters;

  • municipal law matters;

  • residential and commercial leases;

  • property management; and

  • other claims arising in the construction industry.


Ms. Corbett also handles regulatory matters involving licensing issues, OSHA inspections and violations, fair housing claims and more. Ms. Corbett is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Metal Building Contractor and Erectors Association and is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, where she previously served on the steering committee of the Young Professionals Committee and is active in the Legislative Committee.

Ms. Corbett is also an accomplished hunter-jumper equestrian who has used her in-depth knowledge and experience in the equine industry to develop a unique niche practice in Equine Law. As one of the few experienced equine attorneys with a competitive riding background, Ms. Corbett understands the needs of those she represents.  Her client list includes professional equestrians, Olympians, horse owners, products companies, veterinarians, and other equine businesses in all aspects of their corporate, personal, and litigation matters. Her experience in and passion for the equine industry offers clients an integrated approach to the legal and equine worlds that enhances clarity and efficiency.
